Prep's Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Winners!

St. Francis Prep enjoys a long history of cultivating writers and artists.   We are pleased to announce that our students continue to earn recognition and acclaim.  Prep students have earned national recognition in the 2015 Scholastic Art & Writing Award distinguishing their work from among the more than 300,000 works of art and writing that were submitted by students in grades 7-12.

Winning a National Scholastic Award places our students within the top 1% of all submissions!  These nationally recognized artists have been identified by panels of creative professionals as the most talented young artists in the nation.

The following students have earned national recognition in the 2015 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards:

Honorable Mention – Nicole Noel and Sun Young Park

Silver Keys – Emily Paredes and Alexandra Boodram,

Gold Key winners – Kaisia Menzies, Cyan Daly and Mary Millus.

Mary Millus earned a medal for national recognition.

On Friday, March 20th, Gold key recipients attended a reception at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Their work was exhibited in the museum.

On Saturday March 21st, Silver and Gold Key recipients received awards at the New School. Mary Millus, our National Medalist, will have the opportunity to attend a ceremony at the world famous Carnegie Hall on Thursday, June 11th.

Congratulations to our extraordinary art students!
